Aisling Jelinski is a visual artist from Minnesota, now living in the west of Ireland. Primarily working in painting, with some printmaking thrown in for good measure, Aisling recently graduated from Burren College of Art with her Master of Fine Arts.
She likes to hoard trivia with the hope she can make connections between varying pockets of knowledge through her art. She investigates themes of (dis)embodiment, dissociation, and the uncanny in her art with a highly saturated palette, utilising Ancient Greek and Roman sculpture as a metaphor for the body-in-pieces.
