Artist

Richard Malone is an Irish artist and designer. Malone’s work includes sculpture, performance, textiles, fashion design and performance (including video and photography).

Malone’s work is in the permanent collection of some of the world’s most established museums – including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) New York, The Victoria and Albert Museum London, The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne and The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland.

The artwork for Brōdūil is part of a series of poems and performance documentation, first shown in Epic Museum’s ‘Out in the World’ exhibition in 2021, which looked at the Irish LGBTQIA+ diaspora and its legacy.

Brōdūil Art Open Call 2022

The Brōdūil Art Open Call ran from 14th March to 24th April 2022 and received over 100 submissions from dozens of LGBTQIA+ artists around Ireland. Launching in June 2022, to coincide with Pride, a selection of 15 artworks from the Brōdūil Art Open Call will be produced as A3 prints and will be made available to purchase from the Brōdūil Art Store exclusively between June 1st – 30th.

Charitable Donation

All profits from the sale of the Brōdūil Art Open Call Prints will be donated across 3 LGBTQIA+ charities, namely BeLonG To, LGBT Ireland and TENI.
